Study on Aircraft Antenna Performance Verification Using IFF AIMS Certification

In this study, we present a method for verifying the performance of an antenna used in aircraft. Identification friend foe equipment requires AIMS certification US Department Defense interworking with encryption device; IFF is verified through verification process DoD 1102 and 1103 according to aircraft model equipped transponder. It was determined whether standards radiation pattern were met, that did not meet required met by replacing or additionally installing antenna. After submitting requirement test documents completing preliminary preparation verification, only Mode 5 but also SIF mode flight tests. Through meeting requirements, confirmed, it expected can be avionics antennas such as communication navigation.
